Rajasthan in solar energy
Rajasthan ranks first in the country in solar power with 16,060 MW generation capacity.
Solar Energy Policy-2019 was implemented by the State Government taking important steps towards making Rajasthan a leader in the field of Green Energy – Clean Energy.
The world’s largest solar park has been developed in the state at Bhadla in Jodhpur with a capacity of 2,245 MW, Nokh in Jaisalmer with a capacity of 925 MW and Phalodi-Pokaran with a capacity of 750 MW.
Rajasthan is also at the first position in the ‘Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana’ in the country. The first plant under this scheme was also established in Bhaloji village of Kotputli tehsil of Jaipur district in Rajasthan.
