In the state cabinet meeting, 9 districts and 3 divisions have been abolished by redefining the newly formed districts and divisions by the previous government. Now there will be a total of 41 districts and 7 divisions in Rajasthan. Districts which are retained - Phalodi, Balotra, Kotputli-Baharod, Khairthal-Tijara, Beawar, Deeg, Didwana-Kuchaman and Salumber. Abolished Districts - Dudu, Kekri, Shahpura, Neemkathana, Sanchore, Gangapur City, Anupgarh, Jaipur Rural and Jodhpur Rural districts. Abolished Divisions - Pali, Banswara and Sikar divisions. To create administrative structure in the 8 new retained districts now Zila Parishads, Panchayat Samiti and Gram Panchayats will also be reorganized.
