Difference between Chief Electoral Officer and State Election Commissioner
The State Election Commission (SEC), Rajasthan was constituted in July 1994 under Article 243K of the Constitution of India. The SEC is a single member Commission headed by the State Election Commissioner. It has a Secretary who is also the Chief Electoral Officer for the State. The Commission discharges its Constitutional duty by way of preparing electoral rolls and holding elections for Panchayati Raj Institutions as well as for Municipal bodies.

- Shreya Guha– Principal Secretary, Cooperation Department, State Government has been elected as the Director of National Federation of State Co-Operative Bank (NAFSCOB).
Mrs. Guha is also the Administrator of The Rajasthan State Co-Operative Bank Ltd. NAFSCOB is the national forum for the management of top co-operative banks of all the states.
- Shri Umesh Mishra- The state government has appointed Shri Umesh Mishra as the new Director General of Police (Rajasthan Police Force Chief) of the state. He will succeed Shri Mohanlal Lather.

Awards and Rankings
- Swachata (Sanitation) Survey 2022– Udaipur District secured 1st place in the state and 60th place in India. This survey was organized by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India’s Drinking Water and sanitation department In Sanitation Survey (Rural) Program – 2022.
- Rajasthan got 6 awards for cleanliness– Rajasthan has received 6 awards in different categories for its remarkable work in ‘Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin)’. These awards were given at a national function organized by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti,Government of India.
- Ramnagar Gram Panchayat of Bundi district secured first place in the National Film Competition in Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural).
- Rajasthan has also been ranked 8th nationally in the emerging category of Open Defecation Free (ODF) Plus in the country.
- The state got first prize in the wall painting campaign, ODF plus, cow dung, plastic waste management, gray water management, sewage sludge management and second prize in organic waste management in the category of states and union territories of the northern region.

- Marwar Festival was celebrated in Jodhpur on 8-9 October by the Tourism department.
- Deeg Festival was celebrated in Deeg, Bharatpur on 10-11 October 2022 by the Tourism department
- Pushkar Fair 2022 will be held from 1-8 November. It is an annual multi-day livestock fair and cultural festival held in the month of Kartika in the town of Pushkar in Ajmer district.
- Naukhai annual harvest festival celebrated in Odisha.
- Abhaneri Festival is celebrated in Dausa district of Rajasthan. The festival is focused in Abhaneri village. The main celebration takes place in Chand Baori stepwell, which is very close to Harshad Mata temple.

Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana-
Started from May 1, 2021.
Health insurance of Rs 10 lakh per family per year.
The beneficiaries of the National Food Security Act and Socio Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011 need not to register. They are automatically eligible for this scheme. Their insurance premium will be borne by the state government.
Small and marginal farmers, contract workers and other beneficiaries can register themselves or through E-Mitra. The insurance premium will be borne by the state government.
Apart from the above, other families will have to pay a premium of Rs.850 annually.
Mahakaleshwar Temple
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to inaugurate the Mahakaleshwar Corridor.

Chief Minister Bal Gopal Yojana-
To provide nutritious food to the children.
Children from 1 to 8 will be provided milk for two days a week under the Chief Minister Bal Gopal Yojana.
150 ml milk will be distributed to the children in class 1 to 5.
200 ml milk will be distributed to the children in class 6 to 8.
Chief Minister Old Age Pension Scheme-
750 Rupees per month to females above 55 years of age and Male above 58 years of age.
1000 Rupees per month to Female and Male above 75 years of age.
Terms and Conditions – If the annual income is less than Rs.48000 per annum. Relaxation in income limit for BPL, Antoday family, Aastha card family and families of Sahariya, Kathodi, and Khairwa castes.
Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme
Senior citizens (60 years and above) are allowed to visit any one of the various designated places of pilgrimage located outside the state in the country once in their lifetime. Their expenses will be borne by the state government. This scheme was started in 2013 with train service and in 2016 flight services were also included.
Under the scheme, this year(2022) 20 thousand senior citizens from different districts of Rajasthan are being taken to the identified places of worship across the country. Out of these, 18 thousand pilgrims will travel by train and 2 thousand pilgrims will travel by plane.
Chief Minister Anupriti Coaching Scheme
By the state government to help underprivileged students to prepare for the competitive examinations to be conducted for various professional courses and jobs. It is under the ministry of social justice and empowerment.

Rajasthan Rural Family Livelihood Loan Scheme
To increase the livelihood of the people in the rural areas.
For this, the cooperative department has started a new scheme to provide interest free loans.
Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot had announced this in the state budget.
In 2022-23, interest free loan of Rs 2,000 crore will be made available to one lakh families for non-agricultural works.
The families residing in the rural areas of the state for the last 5 years will be eligible under the scheme.
This loan will be available through any commercial bank, regional rural bank, cooperative bank and small finance banks.
Gandhi Sadbhavana Puraskar
Five eminent Gandhian personalities of the country were honored with Gandhi Sadbhavna Puraskar by the state government at a state-level function organized at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on October 2.
This honor for the year 2022 was given to Dr. SN. Subbarao, Bangalore (Posthumous), Shri Nemichand Jain (Posthumous) of Jodhpur, Shri Amarnath Bhai Ji of Varanasi, Shri Kumar Prashant from Delhi and Dr. D.R. Mehta.
A citation and an amount of Rs 5 lakh will be given as honor.
This occasion made a World record for organizing Sarva Dharma Prarthana Sabha ( all religion prayer meeting) by about 1.5 crore people across the state at SMS Stadium on Gandhi Jayanti.
World Non- Violence day- 2 October
Invest Rajasthan Summit-2022
Many investors from across the country and abroad participated in the ‘Invest Rajasthan-2022’ held on October 7-8 in Jaipur.
Theme of the Summit – ‘Committed and Delivered Invest’.
Around 4,192 investment proposals worth about Rs 10.44 lakh crore have been signed even before the main event. According to state government officials, so far about 40 per cent of the investment proposals have already been implemented before the conference or are in the process of implementation.
These projects will create employment opportunities for more than 32 thousand people.
Six people were honored with ‘Rajasthan Ratna’ during the summit. These include Shri Dalveer Bhandari, a Judge of the International Court of Justice, Shri R. M. Lodha, Steel King Mr. L. N. Mittal, Mr. Anil Agarwal of Vedanta Group, Mr. Sheen Kauf Nizam of the famous Poet and Mr. K.C. Malu of Veena Cassette.
The chief minister also launched the first non-resident Rajasthani (NRR) policy and the Rajasthan Foundation’s website during the Non Resident Rajasthani (NRR) Conclave session.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has been appointed as the national partner for organizing this summit.
The Chief Minister also launched the ‘Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme 2022’ (RIPS-2022) during the Invest Rajasthan Summit.
Incentive scheme for girl students studying in agriculture
In order to ensure effective participation of women in the field of agriculture, Rajasthan Government is running ‘Promotion Scheme for girl students studying in agriculture’.
Under the scheme, a scholarship of up to Rs 15,000 per year is given to the girls studying in the Agriculture Faculty, to assist them in their education from class 11 to PhD.
5 thousand rupees are given annually to the girl students of class 11th and 12th.
12 thousand rupees are given annually to girls studying in graduate and post-graduate in subjects related to agriculture.
Chief Minister Milk Production Sambal Yojana:-
Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has announced to increase the grant being given in the scheme from Rs 2 per liter to Rs 5 per liter in the state budget 2022-23.
The scheme was launched in February 2019.
This scheme has been started to strengthen the milk production sector in the state and to improve the economic condition of cattle rearing families.
Rajasthan government launched one-time settlement scheme and animal insurance scheme for thousands of farmers
- one-time settlement scheme- one-time settlement scheme will be implemented by the Rajasthan government for the farmers associated with the Primary Co-operative Land Development Banks. Under this, up to 50 percent interest of loanee farmers will be waived.
In the scheme, interest waiver, recovery expenses along with penal interest will be waived to such families who have died over a period of time and indebted farmers.
- Animal insurance scheme- Under the ‘Pashudhan Bima Yojana Rajasthan’, the government is giving up to 70% subsidy on insurance of animals. On the death of the insured animal, the animal owners can get an insurance claim of up to Rs 50,000.
Two types of animals can be insured under the scheme. Large animals like cows, buffalo, horse,camels, donkeys, mules, oxen and Small animals like sheep, goats,Includes rabbit, boar.
Nearest veterinary hospital can be contacted for animal insurance.
BPL, SC, ST category cattle farmers will have to pay 30 percent of the premium. The remaining 70 per cent premium will be paid by the government.
Other categories of farmers will get 50 percent subsidy on insurance premium.
Silicosis Policy- 2019
Under the Rajasthan Silicosis Policy 2019, an assistance amount of about Rs 509 crore has been given. This has benefited 18,364 victims.
Under this policy, an assistance of Rs 3 lakh is given to the patient on the certification of the disease.
On death, dependents are given Rs 2 lakh.
Provision has also been made for silicosis widow pension.
Along with this, a provision has also been made to give 10 thousand rupees to the family members for the last rites.
A campaign will be launched by the state government for three months to prevent silicosis disease. This campaign will start from November.
Draft of ‘Accountability Act’
State government has released a draft of the ‘Accountability Act’ for public debate.
Now officers and personnel will be brought under the legal ambit of accountability to make the administrative system more sensitive and people-friendly.
For this, citizens will be given the right to ensure transparency and accountability in governance in the state.
The state government will soon implement the ‘Accountability Act’.
Rajasthan will be the first state in the country to bring such a law to change the governance system.
A Committee was constituted in September 2019, under the chairmanship of Shri Ram Luhya to draft legislation.
The proposed ‘Rajasthan Public Services Delivery Act’, Guarantee and Accountability Bill – the draft of ‘2022’ has now been put up for public debate.
Chambal-Dholpur Bharatpur Grand Drinking Water Project
Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has approved Rs.7.2 crore from the state fund for survey and DPR works in Bharatpur and Dholpur districts under the Chambal-Dholpur Bharatpur Grand Drinking Water Project.
Shri Gehlot had announced Rs 3,106 crore Chambal-Dholpur Bharatpur Major Drinking Water Project for adequate availability of drinking water in the state budget year 2022-23.
Film ‘Ae Zindagi’ tax free in the state
To encourage organ donation in the state, the state government has made the film ‘Ae Zindagi’ based on it tax-free. With this, the theaters will sell tickets to the audience by deducting the amount of SGST. This exemption will be applicable for 6 months. The state government has also made many films on social issues tax free in the past like Padman, Super 30, Saand Ki Aankh, Chhapaak and Turtle.
Pink Division: Command of drinking water to women
The state government is taking several steps to increase the participation of women in every field in the state.
A pink division is being created in which drinking water related work will be done by women.
It started from Jaipur.
Hit Rajasthan, Fit Rajasthan
In the state budget of the year 2022-23, Gehlot had announced plans to open state-of-the-art gym and fitness centers in all divisions and open gyms at all district headquarters.
Now its exercise has started. Shri Gehlot has approved proposals of Rs 35 crore related to fitness centers and open gyms to keep the common people fit.

First meeting of State Level Public Grievance Redressal Committee
The first meeting of the committee was held under the chairmanship of State Level Public Prosecution Redressal Committee Chairman Shri Pukhraj Parashar.
A three-tier public hearing has been arranged from gram panchayat to district to solve the problems of the common people at the local level.
Hearings are held on the first, second and third Thursdays of every month.

Governor Shri Kalraj Mishra administered the oath of office of Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court to Justice Shri Pankaj Mitthal at Raj Bhavan on Friday.
Justice Shri Pankaj Mitthal is the 40th Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court.
Rajasthan High Court was established on 29 August 1949 under the Rajasthan High Court Ordinance, 1949. Its principal seat is located at Jodhpur while its circuit bench is at Jaipur.

The UN was established on 24 October, 1945 after World War II.
The name “United Nations” was coined by United States President Franklin D.Roosevelt.
On the occasion of ‘United Nations Day’ on October 24 in Rajasthan, the United Nations flag will be hoisted at all district headquarters including Jaipur.
Police Accountability Committee
The Government of Rajasthan has constituted the State Level Police Accountability Committee.
This State level committee will be headed by Justice H. R. kudi.
Former MLA Shri Goparam Meghwal, Smt. Sunita Bhati and Shri Ajit Dard will be nominated members of the committee.
Additional Director General of Police Law and Order Shri Hawa Singh Ghumaria will be the member secretary of the committee.
Jaipur gets another city park
Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has inaugurated City Park developed by Rajasthan Housing Board at Mansarovar in Jaipur.
In this park, 32 species of dense trees along with flowering and fruit plants and shrubs have been planted using the Japanese method.
Udaan scheme
‘I Am Shakti Udan Yojana’ was started to make health awareness to all adolescent girls and women of the state and to distribute free sanitary napkins .
Under this scheme, 12 sanitary napkins per month are provided free of cost to adolescent girls and women by the state government.
It is an important scheme for the health management of women and adolescent girls in the state.
A budget of about Rs 500 crore has been allocated so far.
Napkin distribution is being done through schools, girls hostels, Anganwadi centers.
For the successful implementation of the scheme, more and more women panch, sarpanch and gram heads will be connected with the scheme.
Personnel will be trained in this work so that they can implement the plan with full sensitivity.
In these, the work of providing free sanitary napkins to 1.45 crore women and adolescent girls in the age group of 10-45 years have started.
Contractual Hiring to Civil Post Rules, 2022 implemented
The chief minister has approved the proposal to implement contractual hiring to civil post rules 2022.
These rules will be applicable to the contract workers working in various departments of the state.
The contract workers who will work for 5 years,On regularization of the posts, they can be made permanent after screening from among workers.
Mangarh Dham
The Rajasthan government Wrote a letter to the Government of India to declare Mangarh Dham as a monument of national importance.
Mangarh Dham- Mangarh Dham, popularly known as jallianwala Bagh of Rajasthan, is located on a hill of Rajasthan Gujarat border near Anandpuri 85 KMs from Banswada.
This place is the workplace of the great saint Govind Guru, who was the leader of the freedom movement in the tribal region.
During a meeting organized under the leadership of Govind Guru on 17th November 1913, the British brutally killed 1500 patriotic tribes-men by firing bullets on the people who were demanding freedom from British rule.
Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Seed Gift Scheme
Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Beej Uphaar Yojana 2022-23 is being implemented in the state.
Under this, certified seeds of high quality will be made available to the farmers.
This scheme is being operated by Rajasthan State Seed Corporation.
The objective of the scheme is to increase the use of certified seeds in the state and to provide high quality seeds of newly developed improved varieties by scientists to the farmers of the state at reasonable rates.
Under the scheme, mainly the seeds of Moong, Urad, Guar, Soyabean, Groundnut, Jowar, Bajra are being prepared for distribution in the Kharif season.
Wheat, gram, mustard and barley crops seed production in Rabi season.
Tractor will be gifted on buying certified seed from Rajasthan State Seed Corporation.
Chief Minister Higher Education Scholarship Scheme
The first one lakh students of the 12th board examination of Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, are given Rs.500 per month (maximum Rs.5,000) who are studying in the college.
This benefit is for a maximum period of five years.
The family income of the students should be up to Rs 2.50 lakh.
Widow / Abandoned Chief Minister (B.Ed) Sambal Yojana
The fees payable by the widows and deserters taking admission in the B.Ed course is reimbursed by the state government.
Devnarayan student scooty and incentive scheme
Girls from Special Backward Classes Banjara, Baldia, Labana, Gadia-Lohar, Gadolia, Gujar, Gurjar, Raika, Raibari (Debasi) communities are given vehicle facility and financial assistance for pursuing higher education.
Girls who have passed class 12th of Rajasthan and Central Board of Secondary Education are eligible for this.
Scooty is given to the first 1,000 girl students according to the merit of the marks obtained in this examination.
Incentives are given to the girl students according to their eligibility who have secured more than 50 percent marks.
10,000 per annum for obtaining 50-50% marks in the first, second and third year of graduation and Rs.20,000 per annum for obtaining 50-50% marks in post-graduation.
Kali Bai Bhil Meritorious Student Scooty Scheme
This scheme announced by Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot is applicable from 1st April, 2020.
Under the scheme, scooters are given to more than 10 thousand talented girl students of different classes across the state. Girls who have passed 12th with minimum 65 percent marks in Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education and 75 percent marks in Central Board of Secondary Education can apply for this. Special provisions have been made in this scheme to encourage girls with disabilities and admission under the right to education.
Three new boards will be formed in Rajasthan
Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has approved the proposal for the formation of three new boards, Rajasthan Leather Craft Development Board, Rajasthan State Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Board and Rajasthan State Dhobi Welfare Board.
Rajasthan Leather Crafts Development Board- According to the proposal, the formation of the Leather Crafts Arts Development Board will ensure effective participation of tanners in the industrial development of the state.
The work of keeping leather products free from tender process in government procurement can also be done by the board.
Rajasthan State Dhobi Welfare Board– The state government has constituted Rajasthan State Dhobi Welfare Board with the objective of providing basic facilities to these sections on the basis of authentic survey reports and identifying their problems and giving suggestions to overcome them.
Rajasthan State Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Board- In Rajasthan, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Board will be constituted for the purpose of increasing the social and educational level of different sections of the gardener society like Kachi, Kushwaha, Mali, Saini etc.
This organization will propose various schemes for the economic growth of the gardener society.
Indira Shakti Fee Recharge Scheme
State government will pay the fees of 9th – 12th class for girls studying in private schools under the right to education(RTE) Act.
The Rajasthan government will pay the fees to continue their studies from class 9 to 12.
This fee will be charged from ‘Indira Mahila Shakti Nidhi’.
Under RTE Act, private schools have to provide free education on 25% seats in classes 1 to 8 to children (6-14 years) of economically weaker section.
The fees of these students of various disadvantaged sections are paid by the government to the schools. Such children, especially the girl child, have to drop out of private school or education after class 8, because of families with weak economic backgrounds.
Rajasthan is the leading state to implement such a scheme.
In order to encourage and protect the education of the girl child, the Government of Rajasthan has started this scheme for the girls studying under RTE till class 8 to continue free education from class 9 to 12.
It is being started from the academic session 2022-23 itself.
Mukhyamantri Laghu Udyog Protsahan Yojana
Mukhyamantri Laghu Udyog Protsahan(Chief Minister Small Industries Promotion Scheme)Yojana is being operated to increase self- employment in the state and to create employment opportunities at the local level.
Under this scheme, a loan of Rs 10 crore is provided through financial institutions for setting up new enterprises in the manufacturing, service and trading sectors and for expansion, modernization and diversification of existing enterprises. In this scheme notified on December 13, 2019, 8% interest subsidy is being given on loans up to Rs 25 lakh, 6% on loans up to Rs 5 crore, 5% on loans up to Rs 10 crore. Also, 9 percent interest subsidy will be given on loans up to Rs 25 lakh to eligible units under Rajasthan Rural Tourism Scheme.
25 additional days in MGNREGA
Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot had announced ‘Chief Minister Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme ‘ in the budget.
Under the scheme on the completion of 100 days under MGNREGA, the state government will provide an additional 25 days of work.
73rd State Level Forest Festival 2022
Inauguration of the 73rd State Level Van Mahotsav organized at Padma Shri Kailash Sankhla Smriti Van in Jodhpur. CM Ashok Gahlot laid the foundation of luv Kush vatika and botanical garden on this occasion.
Departmental Dues and Interest Waiver Scheme, 2022
The mining department of the state government has announced the Departmental Dues and Interest Waiver Scheme, 2022. It will be applied to mining leases, quarry licenses, temporary work permit issued for gravel, royalty, penalty, arrears of RCC, ERCC contracts, permits, dues of STP and departmental constructions.
Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme
Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has taken an innovative initiative to implement ‘Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme’ in Rajasthan on the lines of ‘Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme‘ of the Government of India.
It will give 100 days Employment guarantee to underprivileged and needy people in urban areas.
It started from 9th of September 2022.
It is an initiative of the State Government of Rajasthan.
Eligibility-18 to 60 years old.
The state government will provide the job within the 15 days of demand made by the public.
If the government is unable to provide the job within 15 days then the government will pay the wages equal to 100 days wages.
The scheme will start with Shramdaan in Khania Ki Baori in Jaipur.
Times Passion Food Trail Bus
Organized by the state government’s tourism department and the Times of India.
About 30 famous social media influencers and food bloggers from across the country will travel to different regions of Rajasthan and share information about the state’s food, cuisine and culture on social media.
Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Rajasthan Dalit, Tribal Enterprise Promotion Scheme
It was announced in the budget 2022 – 23.
Grants and training will be given to SC and ST youth entrepreneurs.
Under the proposed scheme training will be provided in collaboration with Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) etc.
Other features- Plot reservation, interest on installments, relief in stamp duty, 100% GST free for 7 years.

About Scheme- To provide financial assistance of 31000- 51000 rupees to the girl child at the time of marriage. This scheme is under the department of social justice and empowerment.
Mission Buniyaad
Through this, about 20 Lakhs of students will get high quality digital education. The objective of the mission is to increase understanding among students, reduce gender discrimination in education and drop out rates.
The Government of Rajasthan will run Mission Buniyaad in collaboration with Children Investment Fund Foundation, Kaivalya Education Foundation (Piramal Foundation), DGI etc.
Sanskrit as the national language
The Supreme Court dismissed a PIL seeking directions to notify Sanskrit as the national language.
Constitutional provision –The Constitution of India has not given any language a national status.
Under Article 343 of the Constitution, the official language of the Union shall be Hindi in Devanagari. English would continue to be used for a period of 15 years. Official Languages Act, 1963 was passed in anticipation of the expiry of the 15-year period during which the Constitution originally allowed the use of English for official purposes.
Chief Minister launched Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana
It was launched on the occasion of Gandhi jayanti on 2 October.
Its main objective is to protect the lives of road accident victims.
Under the scheme, a resident of any state of the country injured in a road accident can get free treatment for 72 hours in a private and government hospital affiliated to this scheme without any FIR or formality.
For this it is not necessary to be eligible for Chiranjeevi Yojana.
The trial run was started from 22 June 2022.
Now it has started all over the state.
Mukhyamantri Kisan Mitra Energy Yojana
Launched on 17th July, 2021 and its benefit was given from the billing month of May 2021.
Under the scheme, an additional grant of 1000 rupees per month and maximum 12000 rupees per year is being given in the agricultural electricity bill.
If the bill amount is less than one thousand rupees in any month, the benefit of the remaining amount of grant is being adjusted in the coming month of the financial year, so that the farmer gets the full benefit of the exemption in the subsidy electricity bill.
PM-SHRI Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Schools For Rising India (PM-SHRI) Yojana – Announced by the central government on the occasion of Teachers day.
It aimed at the development and upgradation of 14,500 schools across India.
Schools will be based on new technology based, learning centric and on the holistic method of education.
Grand Kotra Festival
Grand Kotra Festival was organized in Udaipur from 27 -29 September.
The state government is trying to develop new tourism centers in the rural areas of the state. The local administration and tourism department are planning to attract domestic and foreign tourists by showcasing the culture and arts of Rajasthan. In this sequence, the three-day ‘Kotra Tribal’ from September 27 was organized in Lake City Udaipur. This initiative has been started to promote rural tourism in the tribal area of Udaipur.
There were presentations of Nduva dance from West Bengal, Singari from Orissa, Jabro and Yak dance from Ladakh, Rathwa from Gujarat, Sungi Mukhwate from Maharashtra and Gutumb Baja and Sila Karma dances from Madhya Pradesh.
Vidya Sambal Yojana
20 thousand rupees will be given to the lecturer, 40 thousand to the assistant professor and 50000 to the professor on a monthly basis.
INSPIRE SCHEME
Why in news- Seven child scientists selected from Rajasthan have been awarded under the Inspire scheme-MANAK Award in the New Delhi national level competition.
About INSPIRE SCHEME- One of the flagship programmes of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Its objective is to communicate to the youth population of the country the creative pursuit of science and attract talent to the study of science at an early stage. The scheme covers students in the age group of 10-32 years and has five components. The INSPIRE Awards- MANAK is one of its components.

In Swapnil Tripathy case vs Supreme court of India 2018 Supreme Court said that live streaming of court proceedings is part of the right to access justice under Article 21.
All constitution bench hearings in the Supreme Court will be live-streamed from September 27.

● Vajra Prahar – 13th edition of India US joint special forces exercise recently concluded in Himachal Pradesh.
● Vostok military exercise– multilateral exercise to be held from 1-7th of September 2022 in Russia. Participating countries include India, China, Laos, Magnolia, Nicaragua, Syria and former soviet countries.
● CERVAVAC– it is India’s first indigenously developed vaccine for the prevention of cervical cancer.
● Prime minister Shri Narendra Modi commissioned the first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. During the event the prime minister also unveiled the new naval ensign.
● Cloud seeding – It is artificial rain through dispersing the chemical products in clouds. It aims to change the amount or type of precipitation that falls from clouds by dispersing substances such as silver iodide, potassium iodide and dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) and liquid propane. Recently China and many middle East countries tried cloud seeding to increase the precipitation in their country.
● Delhi Police has become the first police force in the country to make the collection of forensic evidence mandatory in crimes punishable by more than six years. Forensic evidence includes DNA, fingerprints, and bloodstain pattern analysis.
● Rajasthan handicrafts policy 2022– Cabinet has approved the “Rajasthan Handicrafts Policy-2022”.
● Cold mix technology concept – To ensure longer life and better maintenance of roads.
● MGNREGA mate wages increased in Rajasthan– As per instructions of Government of India expenditure on semi-skilled labor (mate) is considered in the category of material. 75% of material expenditure Percentage share is borne by the central government and 25 % by the state government. The entire amount of payment of unskilled labor is borne by the Central Government in the labor head.
● Chief Minister Teacher and Sentinel Residential Scheme was inaugurated 8th September. So far, 501 flats have been allotted to teachers and 45 flats to guards (constables and head constables).
● 45th State Level Men’s and Women’s Handball Competition– Concluded in Hanumangarh. Sri Ganganagar in the men’s category and Jaipur in the women‘s category stood first.
● Nano urea – Indigenously made liquid urea, developed and patented by IFFCO.
- President Smt. Draupadi Murmu honored two teachers of Rajasthan, Mr. Durgaram Muwal of Udaipur district and Ms. Sunita Gulati of Bikaner district, with ‘National Teacher Award- 2022’ on Teachers’ Day.
- Three important decisions of the Chief Minister for drug free Rajasthan- 1)Drug Free Rajasthan Directorate or Commissionerate, 2)’Anti Narcotics Task Force’ (ANTF), 3)’Anti Narcotics Unit’ (ANU). The proposed task force Narco Coordination Center (NCORD) will act as the secretariat.
- The Directorate of Women’s Empowerment of the State Government has decided to develop ‘Girl Friendly’ Gram Panchayats in all the districts with the objective of encouraging the birth of girl child and empowering them educationally and financially. As a pilot project, seven panchayats of Sawai Madhopur district have been developed as ‘Girl Friendly’ Gram Panchayats.
- Jalda Minor Lift scheme – For irrigation and drinking water in 5 villages in Banswara.
- ‘Rajsakhi’ brand- Hand-made products by self-help groups. These products of rural women of Rajasthan are available on Amazon under the brand name ‘Rajsakhi’. For this an agreement between Rajasthan Rural Livelihood Development Council (Rajivika) and online shopping website Amazon was signed.
- Jaipur Open 2022 was started from 14th September – The state government’s tourism department will be a participant in the ‘Jaipur Open 2022’ to be held at Rambagh Golf Club in Jaipur from September 14 to 17. The tournament will be organized by Tata Steel Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) jointly under the aegis of AU Small Finance Bank and Rambagh Golf Club.
- Four new tribes were included in the list of scheduled tribes- Hatti tribe ( Himachal Pradesh), Narikoravar(Tamil Nadu), Kuruvikaran( Tamil Nadu), Binjhia(Chhattisgarh). Cabinet approved bringing the Gond community residing in 13 districts of Uttar Pradesh, under the ST list from the Scheduled Caste list.
- Kirit Parikh Committee- By the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. To review the current gas pricing formula.
● An online portal of Anuja Nigam was started to provide easy and transparent loans. The data on this portal will be taken from Janadhar data, so that there will be no need to upload many documents. After the application is approved, the loan amount will be deposited directly into the applicant’s account through DBT. Anuja Nigam was set up by Ashok Gehlot with 500 crore funds. The main function of Anuja Nigam is to assist in the economic development of backward classes.
● Encroachment on Balesar river– Revenue Minister Shri Ramlal Jat assured in the Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday that the cases of removal of encroachments in Balesar river area of Shergarh tehsil are pending in the High Court. Action will be taken to remove the encroachment as per the decision of the court.

● PM PRANAM (Promotion of Alternate Nutrients for Agriculture Management Yojana) has been planned to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers by incentivising states.
- The state government has approved the construction of Anicut bridge on the Anas river at Garadia in Banswara district.
- The Chief Minister approved the appointment of a counselor for career counseling to youth– Counselors will be appointed in all Savitri Bai Phule reading rooms of the state to give career-related counseling to the youth. In the state budget year 2022 23, it was announced to set up Savitri Bai Phule reading rooms in all the districts to provide study facilities to the students in a good environment. A total of 33 posts of counselors will be created for these reading rooms.
- Right to health for all – Bill introduced in state assembly sent to select committee after discussion in Rajasthan legislative assembly.
