Prize Money for Deaf Olympic Medalists
Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has approved the proposal to give a total prize money of Rs 7 crore to three players who won medals in Deaf Olympics, 2022.
As per the proposal, Mr. Abhinav Sharma and Ms. Gauranshi Sharma, gold medal winner in Badminton in Deaf Olympics 2022, will be given Rs.3 crore each.
Also, Ms. Vedika Sharma, bronze medalist in rifle shooting, will be given a prize money of Rs 1 crore.
These three players will be given this amount by relaxing the Rajasthan Sports Aid Grant Rules-2022.
The state government gives prize money of Rs.3 crore, Rs.2 crore and Rs.1 crore respectively to the sportspersons for winning gold, silver and bronze medals at the international level to encourage the winners.
