Paris Paralympics

The Paris Paralympics were held between August 28 and September 8, 2024.

In this, India won a total of 29 medals and secured 18th position in the points table.

India won a total of 7 gold, 9 silver medals and 13 bronze medals.

A total of 9 players from Rajasthan participated in the Paris Paralympics, out of which three players have won medals. These three players are Avani Lekhara, Mona Agarwal and Sundar Gurjar.

In the shooting competition, Avani Lekhara of Rajasthan won the gold medal and Mona Agarwal won the bronze medal in the women’s 10 meter air rifle event. Sundar Gurjar has won the bronze medal in the F-46 javelin throw category.

Ajeet Singh won the silver medal and Sundar Gurjar won the bronze medal in the men’s javelin throw (F-46) category.

Ms. Preeti Pal became the first Indian female runner by winning the bronze medal in the women’s 100 meter event.
