Mission ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’
Under Mission ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’, the Rajasthan government is running a tree plantation campaign to make the state green.
A target has been set to plant 50 crore saplings in the state in the next five years.
Under Mission ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’, about Rs 5 thousand crore will be spent in the next five years.
Under this, geo tagging is done along with plantation.
The total forest area in the state is only 9.60 percent. The state government aims to cover 20 percent of the land area with forests.
The forest cover area of the state will be increased by 20 thousand hectares by the year 2028.
In this mission, taking inspiration from the Prime Minister’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma has also started the ‘Mukhyamantri Vriksharopan Maha Abhiyan’, under which 7 crore saplings were planted in the state. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma started this campaign by planting a Peepal tree in Dudu district on the occasion of Hariyali Teej.
