Increase in the amount of sports medal winners by the state government
Taking a major decision to encourage sportspersons and provide financial assistance, the state government has increased the amount given to medal winners in Olympic, Asian and Commonwealth Games to Rs 5 crore.

The state government is giving one lakh, 50 thousand and 30 thousand rupees as incentive amount to the medal winning players of state level competitions for winning gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
Sports Person Pension Scheme has been implemented for sportspersons/para sportspersons/coaches. Under this, such players will be given a pension of Rs 20,000 per month on attaining the age of 40 years.
The amount of allowance given to the players participating in national level and state level has been increased from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 and from Rs 300 to Rs 600 respectively per player.
The amount of Maharana Pratap and Guru Vashisht awards has been increased from Rs 1 lakh each to Rs 5 lakh each.
It has been announced to start the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award. Under this, an amount of Rs 7.5 lakh has been proposed.
The provision of allotting 25 bighas of agricultural land free of cost to Olympic medal winners has been extended to medal winners of Paralympic Games as well.
