Important announcements of the Rajasthan Budget 2024-2025
Increasing the scope of the LPG cylinder subsidy scheme, now all the beneficiaries of the National Food Security Act in the state will be given LPG cylinder for Rs 450. Till now the families of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and BPL category were getting its benefit.
Home delivery for beneficiaries of the Food Security Scheme – People below 18 years and above 60 years of age will get ration delivery at home in the state from July 1, 2024.
In the revised budget 2024-25, Bishan Singh Shekhawat Journalism Award for excellent journalism was started.
The state government has made a provision of Rs 100 crore for the development of Khatu Shyam Ji temple(Sikar) in the budget 2024-25. This temple will be developed on the lines of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor.
Rajasthan Ekta Mall will be established in Jaipur under the Prime Minister Ekta Mall Scheme.
Under the Yuva Udyamita Protsahan Yojana, the loan limit for 6% interest reimbursement has been increased to Rs 2 crore.
To provide relief to children suffering from rare diseases, Rs 5000 monthly assistance under ‘Mukhyamantri Ayushman Bal Sambal Yojana’.
Under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandan Yojana‘, the amount payable to disabled pregnant women has been increased from Rs 6500 to Rs 10000.
Establishment of Science Centre in Alwar and Bharatpur.
A fossil park will be built near the Jhameshwar temple in Jhamar Kotda, Udaipur.
Sub-centre of State Remote Sensing Application Centre in Jaipur.
NCC offices will be established in Nagaur, Jaisalmer and Banswara.
The second Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy University in the state will be established in Ajmer. Earlier, Ayurvedic University was located in Jodhpur. Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy College will be opened in Mahwa, Dausa.

Rajasthan Budget 2024-25 Analysis
The Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ms. Diya Kumari, presented the Budget for the state for the financial year 2024-25 on July 10, 2024.
Rajasthan Budget 2024-2025 Highlights
- The Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of Rajasthan for 2024-25 (at current prices) is projected to be Rs 17,81,078 crore, amounting to growth of 17% over 2023-24.
- Expenditure (excluding debt repayment) in 2024-25 is estimated to be Rs 3,34,796 crore, an increase of 10% over the revised estimates of 2023-24. In addition, debt of Rs 1,60,671 crore will be repaid by the state.
- Receipts (excluding borrowings) for 2024-25 are estimated to be Rs 2,64,787 crore, an increase of 11% as compared to the revised estimate of 2023-24.
- Revenue deficit in 2024-25 is estimated to be 1.4% of GSDP (Rs 25,758 crore), lower than the revised estimates for 2023-24 (2% of GSDP). In 2023-24, the revenue deficit is expected to be higher than the budget estimate (1.6% of GSDP).
- Fiscal deficit for 2024-25 is targeted at 3.9% of GSDP (Rs 70,009 crore). In 2023-24, as per the revised estimates, fiscal deficit is expected to be 4.3% of GSDP, higher than the budget estimate of 4% as per Rajasthan Budget 2024-2025.
