In the presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, MoUs worth Rs 63,463 crore were signed and exchanged in the pre-summit of the Mines and Petroleum Department organized under Rising Rajasthan.

Rajasthan has abundant reserves of various minerals including gold, silver, lead, zinc, marble, granite.

Rajasthan is producing about 15% of the country’s total crude oil production and 3.3 million cubic meters of natural gas per day.

In the last 7 months, the state is at the first place in the country by auctioning 32 major mineral blocks. The has auctioned a total 86 mineral blocks.

Letter of Intent (LOI) was issued to Uranium Corporation of India for mining uranium in Rohil of Sikar.

Reserves of the rarest mineral rare earth element have been found in Barmer, Jalore, Nagaur etc. The Rajasthan government is setting up a Center for Excellence to promote Rare Earth Element (REE).

MoU has been signed with IIT Madras for research, skill development etc. in the field of rare minerals like REE in the state and with Indian Oil Corporation for coal gasification. This will develop new possibilities of exploration, mining, employment, revenue etc. in the state.
