Textile and Apparel Policy 2025 With the vision of 'From Fiber to Fashion' in the state, the Rajasthan government has implemented the 'Rajasthan Textile and Apparel Policy-2025' in the state. The textile industry, which is among the top five items of total exports from the state of Rajasthan, is a strong pillar of the state's economy. For the first time in the state, the garment manufacturing sector has also been included in the Rajasthan Textile and Apparel Policy-2025 with the aim of encouraging exporters. Along with this, this policy also includes increasing the production of natural and artificial fibers and related sectors like technical textiles and textile manufacturing, handloom, wool processing, leather products, footwear. A provision has been made to reimburse 25% of freight charges and 50% of personnel training cost to export units. Under the new Rajasthan Textile and Apparel Policy, to encourage the industries in the textile and apparel sector, asset creation incentive up to Rs 80 crore annually for 10 years, 100 percent exemption in stamp duty and registration fee on purchase or lease of land, building, 100 percent electricity duty exemption on electricity consumption will be provided. Keeping in mind the environmental problems, provisions have been made in this policy for 50% reimbursement up to Rs 12.5 crore under Green Solution Incentive, 100 percent of banking, wheeling and transmission charges for renewable energy plants, 50% of patent, copyright cost and 100 percent of land conversion charges. The global economic scenario is undergoing continuous changes after the recent imposition of reciprocal tariff by the US. About 27% reciprocal (reciprocal) tariff on Indian textile imports has been imposed by the US, which is less than competing countries in this sector like Bangladesh (37%), Vietnam (46%), Cambodia (49%), Pakistan (29%) and China (34%).
